Save the Kapolei Interchange - Alleviate Traffic

Aloha,

Kapolei & Makakilo NEEDs your help. especially since our representative has gone AWOL from the Oahu Metropolitan Planning Organization (OMPO) Policy Meetings.

In case you did not know ONLY Part One of the Kapolei Interchange is done.

Now there is effort to kill (aka delay indefinitely) the other much NEEDed phases with current Draft Revision #30 Amendment to the Federal Fiscal Years 2011-2014 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). This “updated” amendment NOW includes language which deletes the funds from Phase 2 & 3 for the Kapolei Interchange.

This amendment would have come up at the last OMPO Policy meeting but there was no quorum from State side since the Representative for House District 42 was away with out explanation.  This amendment will now come up at the August 11, 2014 OMPO Policy meeting

Help us SAVE this project by sending an email to OahuMPO@OahuMPO.org and dotpao@hawaii.gov  and let the policy makers know that you object to this deletion.

For more information about the project see below. For attendance records please visit http://www.oahumpo.org/about-mpo/committees/policy-committee/

Mahalo nui loa for your time and your support!
